THE WESTIN, CALGARY
ALBERTA

CALL FOR PAPERS  OPEN
Deadline: October 31, 2026

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Railway electrification is shaping the future of sustainable rail transport worldwide. From urban and regional transit to long-distance passenger and freight rail, electric traction offers significant benefits in performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. As investment in electrification grows, reliable and high-performance traction power systems are becoming increasingly important.

Since 2003, the internationally recognized acrps and dcrps conferences have provided a leading platform for knowledge exchange on railway electrification and traction power systems. Held in Leipzig, Germany, the conferences regularly bring together 500–650 participants from railway operators, infrastructure managers, industry, engineering, research, and public authorities.

In 2027, this established conference format will be brought to North America for the first time.

CONNECTING EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA

Organized jointly by TRACCS Transit and Rail, and Rail.S, the conference will provide an international platform for knowledge exchange on railway electrification. Focusing on current and future North American projects, the conference draws on decades of European expertise and fosters transatlantic industry exchange.
