About the event
Cadenced based monitoring of long, linear rail infrastructure presents challenges given costs, accessibility, and safety concerns. Satellite imagery can be leveraged to better characterize risks such as land and slope stability, encroaching vegetation, wildfires, flooding and other natural hazards. In this webinar we will present how satellite imagery can be used to identify risks along long linear infrastructure, producing actionable information. We will show real use cases where satellite monitoring was used to identify pre-cursory signals prior to ground displacement events, as well as condition-based vegetation management approaches where large areas are mapped to assist ground crews prioritize efforts, saving time, reducing costs, and reducing risk.
