Rail Electrification & Traction Power Conference North America 2027

Organized by TRACCS, Rail.S and supported by the organizers of acrps and dcrps, the event in Calgary will feature a technical conference program focused on electrification projects and ideas in the North American market, while also drawing on the European partners’ extensive technical and operational experience. The program will focus on traction power and overhead contact line systems as well as the operation of electric vehicles and infrastructure. The program will also cover overarching topics such as energy efficiency, grid stability, electromagnetic compatibility, economic viability, and environmental impacts. The conference will be accompanied by a trade exhibition where leading companies will showcase their technical solutions, products, engineering expertise, and digital tools related to railway electrification.

TRACCS and Rail.S invite all interested professionals from industry and railway companies, technical consultants, policy makers, and media organizations to the Rail Electrification & Traction Power Conference in Calgary on November 4 & 5, 2027. The conference is intended as the first step toward establishing a long-term international forum for railway electrification in North America.
