TRACCS STAR Workshop Agenda

Purpose: To identify key issues across Canada’s rail sector and develop practical, consensus-driven solutions to be published and shared with members, ministers, and transit agencies.

 

1. Welcome and Introductions (10 minutes)

 

2. Current State of the Industry (20 minutes)

 

3. Setting the Stage: Panel Discussion (30 minutes)

Panel Topic: Where Do We Start?

Standards– Do we have clear, enforceable standards across regions?

Assurance– How do we ensure competence, compliance and consistency?

Training– Are workers and contractors being properly prepared?

Safety– Is safety truly embedded at every level of planning and delivery?

 

4. Proposing Solutions: World Café Workshop (2.5hrs – 30 min Lunch incorporated at midpoint) Participants rotate through four facilitated breakout stations: Standards, Assurance, Training & Safety (Each group rotates every 30 minutes)

 

5. Key Takeaways, Next Steps and Actions Presentations – (60 minutes)
