About the event
The delegation based on expression of interest, will also include engagement with existing and upcoming passenger rail projects in Sydney and Melbourne:
- Sydney and Parramatta Light Rail Systems
- Sydney Metro Program with four lines, 46 stations and 113km by 2030
- Implementation of Automatic Train Protection, Melbourne Level Crossing Removal Program, Transport Access Program
- Melbourne Yarra Trams and Melbourne Metro
The objective of this tour is to
- Exchange ideas and share best practices and lessons learned from fellow industry colleagues
- Learn about decision making, different contract models and risk transfer between government and private enterprise
- Observe perspectives in construction means and methods in live rail corridors, operations and maintenance best practices
