Job Description


MISSION/MAIN DUTIES


Project Management:

  • Leads or participates in rolling stock projects, including studies, procurement, and maintenance facility design.

  • Develops solutions and technical documentation, and manages the full procurement process from specifications to commissioning.

  • Oversees project initiation, scheduling, budgeting, team coordination, and client communication.

  • Prepares technical and financial proposals in collaboration with internal and marketing teams.


Relationships & Expertise:

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver successful projects.

  • Maintains client satisfaction and seeks new business opportunities.

  • Serves as a rolling stock expert and ensures the delivery of high-quality project documentation.


PROFILE/SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering required. Member of OIQ is required.

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 10–15 years' experience in the design, manufacturing, or maintenance of North American diesel or electric rolling stock. Experience in functional design of maintenance facilities and specifying maintenance equipment. Experience with light rail vehicles, track maintenance equipment, and overseas consulting is an asset.


Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in rolling stock systems, maintenance facility design, and equipment specification.

  • Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and proposals.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work independently, often under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

  • Travel requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short-term assignments.
